Day 2 — Badagry Island & Door of No Return

Sunday, October 4, 2026

Today we visit the Badagry Slave Museum and Relics to learn about the history and business of slave trade, how it started, who aided it, when it ended, the routes, where various ships went, you will feel the chains, and touch other objects that were exchanged for human lives, then we will embark on a 20 minutes’ walk to the Door of No Return site. Walking the paths your ancestors walked in chains to the shore before they were loaded up a ship and transported to various ports in the americas, you will relive the agony of your ancestors.

Day 3 — Explore Lagos Island

Monday, October 5, 2026

Today we delve more into Nigerias history and people who helped to build Lagos Island, Nigerian  culture, Economy, structure, transatlantic slave trade to Brazil, those who returned and resettled and we also get to learn about the Yoruba deity and traditions. We will also visit various landmarks, art galleries and markets.

Day 4 — Abeokuta & New Afrika Shrine

Tuesday, October 6, 2026

Explore Abeokuta, the historic capital of Ogun State, where you’ll discover the culture and history of the Egba people and visit the famous Olumo Rock, once used as a refuge during ancient civil wars. We’ll also visit the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library and the Kalakuta Museum to learn about the life, music, activism, and legacy of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti. In the evening, enjoy an optional live music experience at the iconic New Afrika Shrine in Ikeja.

Day 5 — Beach Escape

Today we depart Lagos for Calabar, a city deeply connected to the history of the transatlantic slave trade. Explore the culture, hospitality, cuisine, and history of Cross River State while experiencing one of Nigeria’s most welcoming destinations.

Day 7 — Festival of Culture & Naming Ceremony

On this day we will experience several Nigerian cultures, play/drama, learn diverse languages and also learn how to make some local cuisines, after which we will proceed to freshen up and go have our naming ceremony with some traditional chiefs and elders. Get ready to embrace your new identity and reconnect with your ancestry…afterwards we return back to hotel to get ready for next day departure..

On this day we will depart for the capital city of Nigeria, Abuja. We will explore the city of abuja. Visit the eagle square, arts and crafts center, the jabi lake and then hotel check in for rest and refreshing then explore abuja night life afterwards..
